Overview: Using FastMaint for maintenance management
How to get started with using FastMaint in your maintenance management program. Understanding the life cycle of a work order.
Stage 1: How do I define maintenance tasks that need to be done?
You can define both planned & unplanned (breakdown) maintenance task templates that can be used to create work orders as needed.
Stage 2: How do I create work orders for breakdowns/ maintenance requests?
Maintenance tasks scheduled based on a calculated frequency (e.g. jobs done weekly/ monthly/ etc.) are automatically scheduled by FastMaint. However, when dealing with equipment breakdowns or alarm conditions you will need to manually create work orders from "Unplanned" or "Alarm" frequency task templates that you define.

Stage 3: How do I plan maintenance work & print work orders?
Once you enter the set of maintenance tasks (task templates) in FastMaint you can run the Planning Report every week/ month to print/ re-print pending task work orders due in that period. Besides this individual work orders can be printed or re-printed by opening the specific work order.
Stage 4: How do I update work order
status and enter feedback?
You can update each work order individually or use the Fast Feedback feature to identify pending tasks, enter feedback and close them out.

How can I customize/ create new reports?
The Report Designer allows you to create custom reports using a familiar WYSIWYG word processing environment. You can use existing reports as templates to create custom reports. The custom reports that you create can be made available to other users or just for your own use.
